‘MAGGIE” – **NOW HAS A LOVING HOME**
I am a Pug Cross, Qtr Jack Russell and looking for a new forever home in the London area of the UK.
Please email evelyn@pugs.co.uk for more information, please kindly provide your postal code, area of London where you live.

Not everyone wants a Pug as a puppy. They are by no means difficult to train, but you may simply not have the time to dedicate to the upbringing and training of a Pug. In that case, you may prefer an older dog. You might prefer to consider adopting a dog from an animal shelter or Pug Rescue Centre. You might prefer to Rescue a Pug!
Animal shelters and rescue centres don’t just have non-pedigree or mixed-breed dogs, they have pedigree dogs as well – including Pugs. In fact it is said that as much as 30% of the average animal shelters’ population have pedigrees or are purebred dogs.
There are a many specialist Pug Rescue Centres throughout the United Kingdom. So if you would prefer an older Pug, why not try contacting your local animal shelter or specialist Pug Rescue Centre today!
Here is a link to the Pug rescue centres in the UK: Pug Rescue Centres
Do not buy from puppy farms it effects them mentally and some never recover from the loneliness.

Hiya, I’m looking for a brother or sister for my 10 month old pug, Bailey. He’s a bubbly little monster who likes having cuddles, fights and walks. I have a caravan in Wales in the middle of fields and hills with a river and beautiful walks. Perfect for puggy enjoyment and happiness.

      • Leanne Alexander says:

        Hi Lisa,

I have seen your reply to an add about your possibly rehoming your pug who is 3 years old. I have a collie who is approaching 2 years old who would love a friend. I was looking to purchase a puppy, but after a long period of time researching it is normally better for both dogs that an older dog is introduced. My dog is absolutely wonderful around other animals and we would love to offer an adoption. I do have a 9 year old daughter who loves animals also. I just thought I would let you have my contact details. Kind Regards

  24. Katie Drury says:

    Hiya,

My name is Katie, I have always wanted to adopt a pug to become part of my loving family. I live with my parents and my brother so there will be no shortage of people to hand out love and affection. If I was given the chance to adopt a pug, I would spoil it, walking it at every opportunity, buying it treats and toys to play with and most of all it would have all the love in my heart.

I have had dogs since a young age so I have grown up around them and know how to look after them.

It is my dream to own a pug and with my 21st birthday coming up in march it would be a dream come true to adopt a pug into my life and into my heart.

Many thanks in advance and I hope that someone will give me the chance to open up my heart to a furry little friend.

Our home is very doggy friendly and us and our 2 children have lots of love to give. My partner is only out of the house for the morning meaning they would never be left alone for very long.

        Let me know.

        Hello there,

I have a 4 and a half aged male Jack Russell Terrier who I adopted from the RSPCA here in Norfolk. He is a lovely boy but my husband and I think he would love some company as he loves being around other dogs. We are a retired couple and live five minutes from the beach and dunes where we love to walk our dog daily and he loves chasing after his ball. We also think another small dog would be wonderful to share a life with too.

I have a lovely quiet, safe bungalow in south east London/Kent borders, a safe secure garden with lovely woodland walks etc very nearby.
I also have a 3 yr old male blue staffy who I have had since 10 weeks old. He is super friendly, very playful and looking for a play/soulmate.
I do work but Bruce only spends 3-4hrs a day on his own, my mum – who calls him her Grandog! is retired and lives very close by. He gets walked twice a day and lives like a prince – he just needs a princess to share it with.
I can offer a patient, loving, forever home.

I will be looking for a female pug or preferably a pug cross as from beginning of November. Will be on holiday before then so want to get the holiday behind me. I have had dogs most of the last 40 years but never a pug. I am without a dog at the moment. I don’t work so am at home 99% of the time. I will eventually be getting a Shih Tzu as well, so they will both have me and eachother for company. I am not adverse though to having 2 pug or pug crosses instead of a Shit Tzu plus pug. I live in Swindon, Wilts.

  50. Shannon B says:

    Hello,

My husband and I are looking to adopt a pug. We have a 18 month old male pug (Charlie) and love him to bits and would love to bring a friend home for him.

Our jobs are flexible so we’d never leave our dog home alone for more than 4 hours (I’m usually home in the afternoons and my husband is home in the evenings so there’s almost always someone home).

We have a large, secured back garden and lots of lovely walks around our neighbourhood.

We absolutely love the silly pug personalities and know we could give a safe and loving home for a pug in need.

    Thanks.

  51. Lauren says:

    Hello all,

I will soon be moving into a house lodging with a friend who has said I am able to get a pug. This would be my dream come true and I am absolutely desperate to give a pug a loving home.

They would be living with 3 Dachshunds, 2 cats and 4 chickens in a lovely cottage in the south east of England. I am looking for any house trained pug past the puppy stage which will be compatible with the dogs! The cats don’t like to come inside much and the chickens are kept in the coop so getting along with other dogs is most important.

Any pug I take on will receive nothing but love, care and attention and I would spend all my time and money on spoiling them! If you have a pug who needs a home please let me know, I promise to give them the best life possible 🙂

We are a young married couple (mid 30’s) living in the Highlands of Scotland and are looking for a pug to rehome and give lots of cuddles to!!

We have a large bungalow with a secure fenced garden, grass at the back of the house and decking at the front. We live right beside a woods and a canal for walks.

We both work but the pug would only be on its own for a max of 4 hours as i live really close to work. I may also be able to take it to work with me as i am in an office on my own.

Would consider any age or colour, would much rather rehome a pug in need of a new forever home!!

  63. Greg says:

    Hello,

My partner and I are looking to re-home a pug to add to our family. We are both 28 and have a 9 year old girl at home who adores animals and loves pugs especially.

We live in a quite Cotswold village with a secure rear garden and woodland walks less than two minutes from our front door. I work rotating shift patterns across the 24/7 period which means I’m at home a lot through the mornings and afternoons, so even when my partner is out at work during the day, the pug would rarely be home alone.

Our local vets is only a two minute drive away, and although we have never owned a pug we have always owned pets of some descriptions including cats, dogs, birds and rabbits, and currently have a well-natured elderly cat who is child and dog friendly.

We live in Gloucestershire, so would be happy if the pug is located anywhere in the Southwest / Midlands / South Wales areas, and due to holiday and other commitments would be able to accommodate from the end of August.

    Thanks for reading,

    Greg

    Hello
Just emailing to say we are looking to rehome a pug, of any shape or form!
I have no preferences on gender or age etc.
We live in a country property in the Ribble Valley in Lancashire and are nowhere near main roads.
We own our own business so the pug would never be left alone and our 21 year old daughter still lives with us so we will not be needing to place it in kennels when we go away.
We can assure it will have a extremely loving home!
    Many thanks
    James Cowell-Crook

    Hi,
My husband and I are looking to re-home a pug, we don’t mind what colour / sex / age. We have a lovely quiet, safe bungalow in a small Lincolnshire village, with a safe secure garden. We are a young (ish) 34 & 42 married couple, who do work but they wouldn’t be left for any more than 4 hours max. We can offer a loving, patient forever home xx

    • Neil says:

Hi Gemma, I just came across your message, and wondered if you are still looking for a pug?

I have Mia, a 4 year old fawn and black, one eyed pug.

I have had her for two years after taking her from a couple who were splitting up, but also weren’t caring for her well.

Unfortunately I work long hours and my other dog is old and is finding her hard work as she wants to play with him.

She is a brilliant little thing, housetrained (except the odd pee on hard floor once in a blue moon – never carpet) she is happy to be left the four hours you mention. All she wants in life is to be cuddled and loved. She isn’t fussed on massive walks and is not destructive in the house.

If you want more info, please feel free to mail me. I have only just reached this upsetting decision, which, having worked as a manager for a major animal charity, has been a very difficult decision.

I am based in Scotland which could be another problem, but for some reason, out of all the adverts, yours has stood out to me.

      Thanks

      Neil Fraser

    Hi,

I would love to adopt a pug as for the last year I’ve had health problems that mean I can’t get out on my own, so I would love to have a loving pug to brighten up the daytime when I’m on my own.
I’ve done a lot of research on pug’s and what care and attention they need. Any pug would be spoilt with love, bags of time and affection ( but I know to be careful not to spoil them with food!). I live with my parents, who would take me out in my wheelchair to walk the pug everyday.

We have a good sized garden that I can get about in to play with the pug during the day.

We currently don’t have any dogs, but we have 3 cats.

I would prefer a girl ( and would get her spayed if she wasn’t already because of the risk of ovarian cancer when they are older), but would probably fall in love with any boy with a tilt of the head. Age doesn’t matter as long as they having a loving nature.

    Thanks
    Alex

      hi sue,
i read your post. my partner convinced me to adopt a pug only a few months ago, but we both work and i am finding hime really hard work, which i dont think is fair on him. i can see that he’s getting bored on his own as he is starting to eat things around the house. otherwise he is extremely well behaved and very loving i promise. he is 1yr4months approx, he doesnt have papers but he is pure bred. he quite tall but very slim and silver colour. he has A LOT of energy, loves to play and really just needs more time and attention than we can give him. would you or someone else be at home most of the day? we live in tunbridge wells, so not too far away. please get back to me.

He is a little overweight so does need to be kept on a diet (he will eat anything!). We are looking for a nice home for him asap, we are in Kent nr M25. Thanks

    • Ria says:

Hi I’ve just seen your add on pugs rescue site, I have a 7 month old pug called Hugo. He has ulsers on both eyes and has had operations on them, I am not sure I can afford to look after him at the moment and I live in a first floor flat so it is hard to toilet train him also. Please message back if you can help. Thank you.
      Rebecca

      • Heather Burrows says:

        Dear Rebecca,

Have you found someone to adopt Hugo? What were his eye ulcers caused by? We are very experienced with pugs and have had our share of problems. Let me now if you still want to rehome him.

        all the best,
        Heather Burrows

      • Heather Burrows says:

        Dear Rebecca,

I am not sure if my earlier message got to you, because on the website it says ‘waiting moderation’. If it has, I am sorry to send another, but if you do want to rehome Hugo we would love to have him. I have a small organic farm and so he would have plenty of space to run about!

        all the best,
        Heather

All homes will be vetted and she will be adopted out with a contract to ensure her welfare. We live in Kent so if anyone is interested please contact me 07930 346 050.

    Thanks

    • Geri says:

      Dear Sam and Sophie

We have 2 fawn pugs; Rolo, 4 and Honey, 8. We have recently moved from a large house with a large garden to a flat with no garden.

We are out at work for much of the day as our circumstances have changed. We feel really bad for the dogs who are at home all day and are not getting out much.

The thought of re-homing them is hard enough so we would want to make sure they went together to a good home.

If you are interested please get in touch and we can discuss the situation.

I am looking for a pug to join me and my family in our home.

I have been looking on line for over a month now for the right dog but it seems that if you want a pug you either have to spend hundreds of pounds buying one which we just can’t afford or all the ones that are affordable seem to be cons and are just people trying to get money from us and demand up front payment to get the dog delivered to us without us having spoke to them at all or not meeting the dog.

Having spoken to my husband about this we thought that the best option would be to have a rescue pug instead. This way we can help out a dog that needs a good and loving home and family.

  134. Terry says:

Hi there, sadly my 18 year old boy had to be put down in Feb 2010 and my 19 year old cat in Feb 2011. I’ve since been dog sitting daily for my adult sons ,Jug, and I’m now fascinated with the Pug breed. If anyone knows of a Pug needing a lifelong, loving home please let me know. I don’t mind any age or colour but would prefer a male as that’s what I’m used to i guess…in fact in an ideal world a black male but seriously would love any of them. I have plenty of room a spacious garden and lots of time to care for a pug in need of re_homing and lots of attention.
Please contact me and come for a visit if required, north west London xx hope to hear from someone soon xx

I may be interested in homing your Pugs for you.
I have a black pug already – Max – he is 2 and I think is going through his terrible 2’s! I also have a 9 year old bull terrier cross. She is the most caring and loving dog I have ever met.
Whilst I am out at work in the day the dogs have their own conservatory leading out to a very large garden.
Next to my house is a field and the dogs are walked there.
The only down side is that I live in Cheshire which is some way from you.
If you are interested please let me know.

      Hi Joy
Luckily pugs are very rarely abandoned and therefore most of them, if not all pug rescue homes, have waiting lists of potential people willing to adopt. I would recommend you contact these good people and ask to be put on their waiting list

They have been looked after and loved in rural Somerset since puppyhood but now our family circumstances have changed and we are out most of the time – It would be kinder to them to be in a home where they can have more attention – They are both very affectionate and are also good with children and cats. Also we may at some time soon be living in rented accommodation where pets are often not allowed. If you think you might be interested you can contact me at tarrantzeta@btinternet.com

      Regards

      Vicki
